
By the smiles and sunshine it's hard to believe that this kid was up all night with fever and puked on our bed. It's been a day of no school, glorious warm weather and plenty of laundry washing.
Rye's out of the full blue arm cast and into a custom splint, which the doctor and I think he might just need to wear one for the next few years, perhaps adding one to the other arm. Since having the cast he likes to fling his broken wing on anything hard and karate chop it for the effect. It's gonna hurt when it's just an arm I keep telling him, but nobody wants to mind mama.
We did some outdoor painting on our glass window frame leaning up against the fence. We even practiced painting R-Y-E. He 's reluctant to write it, but will however, paint the letters if he slows down long enough and we associate the lines with train tracks, roundabouts, and slides. He'd likely have to use a symbol or something for his name if it were any longer.
